Your Boy is Back!

Yeh mehn! it's been over a month. Too many things to split my time between, and blogging was the least. Although i didnt forget about you guys. matter of fact i'm gonna spend the rest of my evening catching up on your blogs. I'm sure Mr fineboy has posted some thing funny as hell as usual.

Anyways, i caught throat strep mehn, and to make matters worse i was taking taking off the shelf cold medicine thinking i had common cold. The fever was persistent, so i finally went to the hospital. The doc (a woman looking like in her late 30s) came in, checked me out and told me what it was. she then assured me i'll be fine with the prescriptions. The funny thing was when i asked her how the hell a super health freak like me could catch throat strep, she started going on and on with examples, and you will not believe one of the examples she listed..
This doctor is one hell of a freak. she must have got turned on by just mere asking that question. Apparently you can catch strep from eating pork (no not that poultry pork! the other pork lol).

wow! i just laughed and maintained silence like nothing happened.

Several other things happened while i was AWOL. I DJ'ed at the dejavu Nigerian reunion held in Houston. That was a fun wkend! we did our thing, and i made more friends.


I've been in the trenches working on my second Nigerian HipHop Mixtape. I released an unofficial version a while back, but i went back and made a revision and so now it's ready for commercial release. Target release date is August 3 at club queens here in the ATL. My dream is that the Nigerian HipHop Market will get big enough in Yankee up to the point where people will actually start buying cds instead of finding ways to download it for free. We need to show love to our artists for the great music they continue to put out. Artists gotta eat too. Abeg show some love. no be small ting!

July has been the brokest month in my life, I've been saving like crazy. i'm gonna go back to naija one day to open a small start up business along the line of software development and training. I have'nt gone back home in over 8yrs and so this year, i have made it a high priority to return to my roots. I still miss Naija despite the Mosquitoes, NEPA and other BS going on. Things are really messed up right now, Bad enuff to shed tears over.

I met one chic that wanted more. I think i was a little too brutally honest with her though. fine and all, but she was just too young. Different levels, it just would'nt work. We stopped talking, but at least i did'nt tag her along knowing it was'nt going nowhere. I kept it real. No long ting!.

My momsy's birthday is on Wednesday. I love her to death, i can't even count my gizzillion reasons why. Old lady bursted her ass for me and my siblings all her life. I miss her cooking too. God Bless her.

Speaking of cooking, i need to holla at Bukky and my other chefs mehn. I cooked stew yesterday, but before it came time to add meat to the soup, i had already ate half of the meat. That shit was so good i could'nt resist. it's better to bake your meat instead of boiling it before adding to the soup. it just has a different taste to it.

Ok i'm heading off from work now, it's been a rather stress free monday, minus the sneezing that kept bugging me. yep! i caught allergies again. Enemies no gree me rest. I think i'm just goin take it easy this evening, perhaps chill on the couch with a bowl of indomie noodles while watching ESPN and reading your blogs. but knowing who i am, i might end up in the studio right next to my decks, with a C++ book lying just a few inches away.
